Byte Night

Byte Night is the IT industry’s annual sleep out in support of Action for Children. Each year hundreds of individuals and teams from across the IT and business community spend a night exposed to the elements in a bid to raise sponsorship and awareness of Action for Children’s work. Since 2010 EACS has submitted a team for this event every year, including Managing Director Mike Dearlove.

If you would like to register your interest in being part of Byte Night please click HERE.

Thank you to everyone who has sponsored us!

East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH)

EACH supports families and cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.

EACS has partnered with EACH for over six years providing a fully hosted IT environment. In 2014 EACS sponsored the Norfolk Appeal launch event which was intended to galvanise support to build a new children’s hospice for Norfolk. Members of staff also took part in an event which involved abseiling 80 feet down the Cambridge Guildhall to raise money for the charity. In addition, EACS were Gold sponsors of the Cambridge Dragon Boat Festival. Our team, the EACS Rapid Rowers, competed in races on the River Cam in Cambridge raising more money for EACH. In 2012 EACS sponsored the opening of their new Treehouse Hospice and two of our employees took part in an abseiling event to raise money for the charity.

Shine is a registered charity, which was formed in 1966, initially to help families and individuals affected by spina bifida and hydrocephalus. Today, Shine is a community of 75,000 individuals, families, friends, and professionals, sharing achievements, challenges and information on living with hydrocephalus, or spina bifida, and related issues.

Each year EACS supports Shine by taking part in their virtual balloon race aimed at raising funds for Shine's Health initiatives.
