"The availability of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 coincided with our need to expand and upgrade our Servers. We had several servers that were fairly old, running NT4, and needed renewing. 

Our Open Subscription Licensing allowed us to plan an upgrade to Active Directory and Windows Server 2003 without a massive cost. As we had purchased our licensing through EACS it seemed the logical step to involve them in our upgrade plans, using their expertise to install an Active Directory structure onto new servers, including Exchange 2003; which was one of the main reasons for the upgrade as our old Exchange 5.5 server really was creaking, and I couldn’t guarantee a recovery if we had a problem with the old server.

The installation process was as smooth as I had dared to hope, and was definitely a lot easier than a series of NT4 installs; in fact once the Active Directory was in place, installing and adding new servers was positively easy."
