Disaster Recovery and High Availability are becoming more and more important for today’s enterprises. Businesses now require higher availability of systems that go beyond traditional backups and restores. Disasters can range from localised issues including failed drives or network cards to entire site loss. The goal is to keep users working, hopefully without interruption.

By using replication software over a WAN or LAN, automatic failover of data and services can occur and provide high availability of systems to the user base. This means downtime can be controlled by central administration and failover is not limited to a local server, which may be in the same location that is inaccessible.

Replication over any distance
By only replicating the byte level changes, data can be replicated over any distance (the further the better). By using Flexible Bandwidth Scheduling and Intelligent Compression, this replication can be controlled to perform over the lowest of connections. This replication is also supported one to one and many to one.

DoubleTake Application Manager
By using DTAM (DoubleTake Application Manager), the configuration and maintenance of managing File Servers, Exchange Servers and SQL Servers can be simplified with the auto discovery of servers and services. Failover and Failback are also managed through this single interface.

Double Take Server Recovery Option
By using DoubleTake SRO (Server Recovery Option) provides a single solution to continuously protect and recover an entire server, including the OS, applications and data.

DoubleTake Compatibility
DoubleTake is fully compatible with Microsoft Windows 2000 and 2003, both 32bit and 64bit operating systems. DoubleTake can also integrate with Microsoft Operations Manager. DoubleTake is also Hardware and Application independent.
