Young People of the Year (YOPEY)

EACS has sponsored the Young People of the Year (YOPEY) Cambs Awards every year since 2008. YOPEY contests are open to people aged from 10 to 25, who 'give to others' and are aimed at showing the positive side to young people today.

In 2010 Edward Williams won first prize for raising £70,000 over four years by swimming the channel at the age of 19 to raise money for Prostate Cancer Research and later Lake Windermere to raise money for East Anglia's Children's Hospices.

EACS will be sponsoring these awards again in 2011. If you would like to nominate an inspirational young person please visit the YOPEY website.

Byte Night

Byte Night is the IT industry’s annual sleep out in support of Action for Children. Each year hundreds of individuals and teams from across the IT and business community spend a night exposed to the elements in a bid to raise sponsorship and awareness of Action for Children’s work. In 2010 EACS took part in the Cambridge event and submitted a team, including Managing Director Mike Dearlove. To find out more click HERE.
