A Borough Council in the East of England.
The Council used Citrix XenMobile 9.0 Enterprise Edition to provide Mobile Device Management and Mobile Application Management to council-owned mobile phones and devices, approximately 80 of these were Apple devices.
With IOS 9 due to be released, Citrix advised customers an upgrade was needed to ensure continued protection of their data. Users needed to be aware of this and avoid updating their phones until the upgrade had been complete.
EACS implemented Citrix XenMobile 10 side by side with the existing XenMobile solution – this allowed the IT team to test the upgrade process for a small number of users to confirm the process, before decommissioning the XenMobile 9.0 installation and upgrading the rest of the users to the new installation.
