Signify Passcode OnDemand delivers tokenless two-factor authentication by turning any mobile phone or BlackBerry into an authentication device.
Our service makes it easy to securely identify users by confirming that they have their phone or BlackBerry with them and as a fully hosted service we ensure that the service works securely and reliably for you.
Passcode OnDemand is ideal for users who need secure remote access but either don’t want to carry a token, or are infrequent users who may not look after a token as well as they look after their own phone.
What is Signify Passcode OnDemand?
Signify Passcode OnDemand turns a user’s personal mobile phone or BlackBerry into a secure replacement for a password.
When they wish to log in, a one time passcode is sent to the user’s mobile device in an SMS text or email message.
The user reads the passcode from their phone, and enters it in conjunction with their secret PIN into the password field.
By demonstrating that they have these two “factors” – a secret PIN and their phone, the user is securely identified.

This increases the reliability for users who may have intermittent SMS coverage. It makes your mobile phone or Blackberry work just like a token by pre-sending a new passcode to the user as soon as they use the previous passcode. It is ideal for users, who don’t want to wait for each passcode to arrive or who are often out of service coverage.
