Email Storage Demand Reduced by 60%

The Challenge
A large air conditioning systems provider radically needed to overhaul the way they were archiving their emails.  As they employ a large number of staff and emails held in the existing email servers were seriously affecting the system’s overall performance, they required a swift, effective solution.

The Solution
With around 150 email accounts, some over 7 gigabytes in size, archiving was the solution to free up valuable space, and most importantly make emails easily accessible.  It was also critical that the emails archived were securely stored. The right solution for this organisation was C2C’s email archiving software Archive One.  The system has been configured so that once an email is two months old it is automatically archived, even on remote PCs when they connect to the corporate network.  To access an archived email, as far as the user is concerned, there is no discernable difference.  Every email is still listed, the only difference being that the older emails are now stored centrally on an archive database, freeing up local storage and improving the overall performance of each PC.
