#Optimise2020 – The Biggest Show of the Year!
Well what an amazing three days at Optimise IT 2020 we just had! We set out for this year’s virtual version of our usual Optimise event to be the biggest event of the year and we definitely achieved that. With tons of fantastic Keynote and breakout sessions and plenty of thought-provoking discussions in our exhibition booths, everyone came away with lots of tools and knowledge to use when planning their IT needs for the next few months.
Below we have listed some of the key numbers from this year’s Optimise event:
And these figures are only going to rise, with all registered delegates having the ability to enter the platform and download and watch all our content again for another 12 months!
There were so many highlights from this year’s event, and I’m sure you have your own. We thought it would be good to list just a few of our favourite events and if you did miss out, make sure to catch up On-Demand in our platform when you have a spare half an hour.
Sophos Keynote – The Realities of Ransomware
We kicked off Optimise with a great Keynote from cyber security experts Sophos. Greg Iddon, Sophos Senior Cybersecurity Specialist, looked why so many organisations are being hit by devastating attacks and what the best practise is to take when you become the victim of an attack.
eacs – Service Desk Heaven or Service Desk Hell- which one is yours?
eacs Head of Services Anne Stokes spoke about how to maximise the use of tools and processes to drive customer satisfaction up and move further towards Service Desk Heaven. Anne also spoke about our recent investment in our own service desk and our move to 24/7 support.
Matt Dawson Q&A
2003 Rugby World Cup winner Matt Dawson MBE was our special guest Wednesday afternoon, talking about his long and distinguished career in sport and media and the lessons he’s learnt along the way. It was a fascinating session with plenty of hilarious anecdotes thrown in, such as his attempt at tackling 6ft 5in New Zealander Jonah Lomu, resulting in a trip to hospital! Matt even found time at the end to answer questions sent in from the watching audience, if you haven’t had the chance to watch it yet I would recommend you doing so.
NetApp’s Keynote & breakout sessions
Alongside their fantastic Keynote Wednesday morning, NetApp presented two breakout sessions looking at their latest Hybrid Cloud solutions as the specialists in helping businesses get the most of their data.
Microsoft Keynote – Igniting immediate digital innovation with Microsoft’s Power Platform
Microsoft Technical Architect Chris Huntingford was our special guest speaker Thursday morning, looking at how to energise your organisations digital transformation processes with the Microsoft Power Platform and performing a live demo of some of their latest solutions. That was not all, our very own eacs Apps & Data team hosted a number of their own breakout sessions looking at how applications can be utilised to make your processes more efficient and use your data more effectively.
That was just a small taste of what was a brilliant event enjoyed by all. As we mentioned earlier, every webinar, Keynote, video and datasheet is available for you to access in case you missed any of the above or anything else from the three days.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of partners for joining us for this year’s event and providing some fantastic presentations along with everyone who attended for making #Optimise2020 the biggest event of the year!
