Professional Services – Technical Consultant - location: office & field based

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver the full range of technical services to EACS customers, including the provision of technical expertise throughout the complete lifecycle of all professional services engagements; design, implementation (configure and test) and fully support the process of acceptance into service (AIS).

The ideal candidate will be fully competent across the Citrix and Microsoft technology areas at enterprise level and be proficient in providing high quality deployment and support services for the following product sets as a minimum:

Essential

  • Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop
  • Citrix Netscaler Unified Gateway
  • Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
  • Microsoft Windows 10
  • Associated 3P products such as FSLogix, Appsense and other 3P management solutions
  • Experience in designing and deploying the above into public cloud solutions (Azure ideally or Amazon)

Desirable

  • Experience designing and implementing Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS) offerings such as Intune, Azure MFA or Azure Information Protection.
  • Administration of Microsoft Hyper-V or VMware virtual infrastructure

Role and Responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to the achievement of individual and team revenue targets by delivering a wide range of high quality, technical professional services which meet all aspects of customer requirements
  • Working with Project Managers, colleagues or self-managed; be a hands-on lead for the capture of solution design (HL/LLD), all implementation activities and deliver a good quality acceptance into service (AIS) for a variety of technical projects
  • Produce detailed, clear, consistent and timely documentation throughout all aspects of the role; whether for internal use or customer facing
  • Act as Technical Expert and provide colleagues and customers with suitable advice, guidance and assistance for the investigation and resolution of support related technical issues, including major incidents
  • Provide technical assistance into the pre-sales process to aid the production of accurate and top-quality scoping and costing documentation prior to handover post-sale into Professional Services
  • Contribute to the evaluation and onboarding of new products sets into the company’s portfolio
  • Maintain up to date product knowledge and industry/vendor recognised accreditations for the essential product suites related to the role and, ideally, the desirable products
  • Adhere to all standards and procedures which support the quality requirements for work undertaken by professional services and proactively contribute to the ongoing development of those standards and procedures
  • Understand and comply with all other common standards such as ISO, GDPR and any others
  • Other ad hoc tasks as may be required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in a customer facing consultants’ position which has been primarily engaged in the delivery of the essential product suites for this role as a minimum
  • Product/vendor accreditations across the essential product suites within this job specification as a minimum
  • Either qualified in or can demonstrate experience working within environments operating the principles ITIL and PRINCE2
  • Desirable – a degree in the relevant discipline
